Inescapable Series By, Amy Bartol

Synopsis for Inescapable:

My name is Evie Claremont and this was to be the making of me–my freshman year of college. I’d been hoping that once I’d arrived on Crestwood’s campus, the nightmare that I’ve been having would go away. It hasn’t.
I may be an inexperienced seventeen-year-old, but I’m grounded…sane. I look for rational explanations to even the strangest circumstances. Since meeting sophomore Reed Wellington, however, nothing makes any sense. Whenever he’s near, I feel an attraction to him–a magnetic kind of force pulling me towards him. I know what you’re thinking…that sounds fairly awesome. Yeah, it would be…if he liked me, but Reed acts as if I’m the worst thing that has ever happened to Crestwood…or him. But get this, for some reason every time I turn around he’s there, barging into my life.
What is the secret that he’s keeping from me? I’m hoping that it’s anything but what I suspect: that he’s not exactly normal…and neither am I. So, maybe Crestwood won’t be the making of me, but it could be the breaking of me. I’ve been left to wonder if the dark future my dream is foretelling is…inescapable.

My Review:

Moving away from the only parent you’ve ever known to move away to college is drastic enough, but what Evie doesn’t count on is the life changing way it’ll effect her. Words can not express how much I love this series. The way Amy puts a twist on the classic love triangle made even me doubting which one I want her to end up with. But it doesn’t just stop at that, it seems like everyone she encounters wants a piece of her! (Literally) The way Evie takes it all in stride with her snarky attitude really makes you fall in love with her. This series is beautifully written and I love it, I can’t wait for the next book due out next year!!

Shocked yet thrilled by Grey’s singular erotic tastes, Ana hesitates. For all the trappings of success—his multinational businesses, his vast wealth, his loving family—Grey is a man tormented by demons and consumed by the need to control. When the couple embarks on a daring, passionately physical affair, Ana discovers Christian Grey’s secrets and explores her own dark desires.

Erotic, amusing, and deeply moving, the Fifty Shades Trilogy is a tale that will obsess you, possess you, and stay with you forever.

My Review:

I know, I know what your thinking!! But everyone who reads this book loves it, it’s got to be for a reason, right?!

I’ll give it to you straight…

Yes, there is the crazy sex, but there is also a love story here. For the first time Christian Grey feels something more for a girl and she’s a nobody, lit major, virgin with frizzy hair.  We watch as their love story unfolds and he ultimately makes these changes in his life for her. It appeals to every woman’s desire– awesome sex and a man that will change who he is for her. Super romantic and his crazy control and protectiveness can be kinda f*cking hott!!

OKAY, enough of the sex already you pervs– there’s also major Drama, Background into how Christian became the way he is, and just plenty more things from the past pop out and make loving Christian Grey not so easy..

This is the story of Anya, a former TV actor, who is determined to claw her way back into the spotlight, and Rhiannon, a friend who is willing to help her. The gimmick works, the site goes viral, but the fans aren’t predictable and the makeovers aren’t always easy. Read this behind-the-scenes account of how two eighteen-year-old girls become adults and one of them risks everything to become an icon

My Review:

Let me just start by saying, I loved this book!
It centers around Anya a former television star that is trying to get her career back up and running. It’s told by her friends point of view as they decide to start this crazy makeover website to boost her fame again. It makes them do some insane stuff in order to gain popularity and fans. Let me tell you things get pretty C-R-A-Z-Y!
I think it’s a really original idea that shows the bad side of fame and the crazy lengths people will go through to obtain it.

P.S- they also have an actual website that you can virtually see what they are talking about! I know, Super cool right?

Hush Hush Series By, Becca Fitzpatrick

Hush hush

Hush Hush Synopsis:

Romance was not part of Nora Grey’s plan. She’s never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how hard her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch comes along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Patch draws Nora to him against her better judgment.

But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora’s not sure whom to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is and seems to know more about her than her closest friends. She can’t decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.

For she is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen – and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost Nora her life

My Review:

LOVED this series! I can’t believe it say on my shelf for a year before I actually opened the pages. This series is a little near and dear to my heart because it inspired a dream that inspired my own book. You follow Nora as she meets this guy in class and then strange things start to happen to her, is she going crazy? is it all in her head? I loved the mystery of it all. Nora doesn’t know who she can trust, can her best friend understand? is Patch behind all this? Is her Father who she thinks? I don’t want to give too much away, (I hate reviews that dive too deep into the story) Just read Hush Hush– you’ll be diving for the next one in no time.

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ – Amazeballs! Must Read, Don’t let this one sit on the shelf like I did!!

Delirium Series By, Lauren Oliver

Screen Shot 2014-08-15 at 9.52.46 PM

Synopsis of Delirium:

Ninety-five days, and then I’ll be safe. I wonder whether the procedure will hurt. I want to get it over with. It’s hard to be patient. It’s hard not to be afraid while I’m still uncured, though so far the deliria hasn’t touched me yet. Still, I worry. They say that in the old days, love drove people to madness. The deadliest of all deadly things: It kills you both when you have it and when you don’t.

My Review:

The synopsis doesn’t do this book justice. I was obsessed with the first book, love considered a disease?! Say what?! What if you lived in a society that showing emotions, showing love meant you were infected?! What if everyone received a injection to “cure” you from loving? INSANE! The story is about Lena who is just about to receive these vaccinations when she meets a boy… you can see where this is going! Does she still go through with it? What effect will this have on her family? Is she cursed like her mother?

The second and third books I liked but wasn’t so obsessed with. I don’t want to give anything away, but a new love interest is introduced and just when Lena thinks she knows what she wants sh*t hits the fan! Who does she choose? The person who taught her to love or the one that she taught? AND did I mention the rebellion going on!?!

I have to say I didn’t like the ending, I mean it was good. But I wanted more answers, more closure and where are they now!

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥- Loved it! It’s deff a must read beautifully written YA series

The Selection Series By, Keira Cass

Selection Series

Synopsis for The Selection:

For thirty-five girls, the Selection is the chance of a lifetime. The opportunity to escape the life laid out for them since birth. To be swept up in a world of glittering gowns and priceless jewels. To live in a palace and compete for the heart of gorgeous Prince Maxon.

But for America Singer, being Selected is a nightmare. It means turning her back on her secret love with Aspen, who is a caste below her. Leaving her home to enter a fierce competition for a crown she doesn’t want. Living in a palace that is constantly threatened by violent rebel attacks.

Then America meets Prince Maxon. Gradually, she starts to question all the plans she’s made for herself—and realizes that the life she’s always dreamed of may not compare to a future she never imagined.

 My Review:

I’ll be honest when I first read this synopsis I was like Eh, but it continually kept coming up in the “Things you may also like” and GoodReads “Recommendations.” Needless to say, I caved. It’s not the whole pretty pretty princess theme that I originally thought, (yes there are aspects) but America isn’t like every other girl. She doesn’t give two craps about the crown, she’s there for her family and her sanity. From the moment I started reading I was totally enveloped. It appeals to the little girl in me that always wanted to be a princess and the other part that wants to change the world.

You become enveloped in this crazy world of frilly dresses, backstabbing gossipy girls, and rebel attacks. Every day is something new and what drove me crazy yet I loved the fact that I never knew what was going to happen. Just when I thought I had it all figured out Keira threw me for a loop. I loved it, loved the ending and I see that there are other spin off novels I can’t wait to get my hands on!

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ — Deff a series to check out! It’s a quick & awesome read!
